At the heart of everything we do is a deep love and respect for the ocean.
Over 10 years ago, we began our journey into foraging and spearfishing, initially as a way to connect more intimately with the waters we’ve always loved. What started as a personal passion soon grew into a commitment to protect and preserve the very ocean that inspires us.
Through our years of exploring the sea and its bounty, we’ve learned to appreciate the delicate balance that sustains it. We’ve seen first hand how overfishing has impacted the reefs along the South Devon coastline and how devastating practices like dredging for scallops can be. We’ve come to realise that responsible fishing is not just about catching fish or taking marine life – it’s about being stewards of the ocean, mindful of its health and, crucially, its future.
Our Recipe of the Month
Our approach to scallop diving is a perfect example of this ethos. We choose hand diving – an approach that is sustainable, selective, and minimal in its impact. By avoiding commercial fishing methods that often take more than the ocean can give, we focus on practices that allow the marine ecosystem to thrive. For us, fishing isn’t just about harvest; it’s about respecting the delicate web of life beneath the surface and leaving the ocean better than we found it.
We’re passionate about promoting practices that ensure the long-term health and sustainability of our oceans. For us, it’s not about taking, it’s about giving back, maintaining a deep and abiding respect for the waters, and sharing the beauty of the ocean in a way that helps it flourish for generations to come.
Join us in celebrating the ocean, its delicious wonders, and the responsibility we all share in preserving it.
